A complete rebuild of this seven-storey, 490 square metre, Victorian Knightsbridge property. The renovation included a new basement which extends across the entire site. The additional space allows for a fitness
and health area, incorporating a gym, swimming pool jacuzzi and steam room.
At the back of the building, above basement level, a contemporary two-storey extension was added. On the ground floor level the inner courtyard, connects both the living/dining and kitchen areas in both the old and new parts of the house, a living wall with wrap around glazing drops down in to the lower level TV and bar area to allow light in to this large space. Upper stories include two luxurious master bedroom suites, two secondary bedrooms and a grand drawing room.
The project combines a neutral colour palette with tactile textures. High end finishes, such as a bronze metal wall, back lit onyx, leather panelling along with polished plaster and marble bathrooms were added
in the scheme throughout to give this vast home the luxurious feel it required. In addition, bespoke fitted joinery, furniture and lights were created to seamlessly blend with the materials used within the architectural design.
This project was completed in 2016 with Hone Studio and Alchemy Properties. In 2020 THI were asked
to return to make some additional changes to the courtyard areas, furniture and fittings ready for a resale.
